The pitchers on the Fruitport varsity softball team kept the bats from Ludington mostly silent during a doubleheader sweep on Thursday, 9-1 and 16-0.

In the opener, starting pitcher Aurora Wilks struck out nine Orioles batters and allowed just three hits in a complete game gem.

Brooklyn Samlow paced Fruitport’s offense with three hits and two RBIs, while Del Bennett tallied three hits.

In Game 2, Bennett and Janell Camphor combined to no-hit the Orioles in a 16-0 mercy-shortened game.

Wilks had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Trojans, Samlow contributed three hits, and Katie Veihl added two.
