The North Muskegon soccer team opened up the West Michigan Conference tournament with a 8-0 victory over Mason County Central on Wednesday.
Grace Berends opened the scoring only two minutes into the game, but the rest of the half belonged to Abby Grevel, who scored the next three goals to give North Muskegon a 4-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, North Muskegon picked up goals from Marion Eacker, Reyna Johnson, Grevel, and Haley Slorf.
Berends led the Norseman in assists with three, while Johnson had two, and Slorf and Megan Sroka had one apiece.
