The first-place Holton softball team had a big night on Tuesday, downing Lakeview in a league doubleheader 7-5 and 15-0.
The Red Devils improved to 13-5 overall on the season.
Holton pitcher Haylee Brant picked up the win in Game 1. Morgan Murat, Shelbey Younts, Kayla Cross and Brant each had two hits in the game for the Red Devils.
In Game 2, Holton ended the game by mercy rule in the third inning after Katlyn Mock’s two-run double.
Younts went 3-for-3 to lead the way for the Red Devils while Murat, Mikayla Hutchinson and Michaela Ross each had two hits. Mikayla Baker pitched the win for Holton.
