The Fremont baseball team sneaked past Newaygo 5-4 in a non-league action on Friday.
The Packers were paced by James Pekel with two hits, two RBIs and one run scored while Parker Groenevelt and Tyler Zimmerman added two hits apiece.
Fremont’s Nathan Hoffman pitched the win, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out seven batters in six innings.
