The Kent City varsity softball squad used a dominating performance on Tuesday to sweep Morley Stanwood 19-4, 8-1 in CSAA action.lsj-fb-logo

In Game 1, the Eagles scored 15 runs in the first two innings to jump out to a huge lead and eventually mercy Morley Stanwood in four innings.

The offensive effort was led by Kassidy Heeringa who was 4-for-4 at the plate, while Autumn O’Keefe added four RBIs.

In Game 2, Paige Mortensen picked up the complete game victory by only allowing one run on two hits.

Shelby Nelson led the offense in the nightcap with two doubles and two RBIs, while Sarah Meek added three hits including a double. Mortensen also added a double and a triple at the plate.
