The Muskegon Catholic varsity baseball team picked up a doubleheader sweep over Fremont 9-0 and 11-9 on Wednesday in Lakes Eight Conference action.
In Game 1, Devin Comes picked up the victory on the mound for the Crusaders, while also having a hit and two RBIs of his own at the plate. Hai Nguyen and An Pham also had two RBIs for Muskegon Catholic.
In Game 2, Muskegon Catholic held off a strong five-run seventh inning rally from Fremont to hold on for victory.
Jacob Holt paced the Crusader offense with two hits and three RBIs, while Nguyen added two RBIs.
Fremont was paced in the nightcap by Nathan Hoffman with four hits and three RBIs, while Dylan Foster and each had two hits and a RBI.
