The Spring Lake softball team kept its perfect season alive with a doubleheader sweep against Fremont, 10-0 and 15-0, on Wednesday.
The Lakers are now 23-0 on the season and 12-0 in Lakes 8 play.
In Game 1, Spring Lake was paced by Jenna Core with a two-run homer while Madelyn Nelson, Lauren Hellman and Katie Mumby each added two hits.
Lauren Somers picked up the victory for the Lakers, allowing two hits and striking out seven batters.
In Game 2, Mumby led the Lakers with three hits, including a two-run home run, and seven RBIs.
Spring Lake’s Leah Vaughan pitched the victory, allowing three hits while striking out five batters.
