WMC soccer squad’s furious first half flattens Black River

Western Michigan Christian’s soccer team had little trouble roaring past Holland Black River on Thursday, with the Warriors ending the game 7 1/2 minutes into the second half in an 8-0 victory. lsj-fb-logo

The Warriors built a 6-0 advantage at the half, thanks to three goals from Morgan Kinnucan, two goals from Jessica Kinnucan, and one score by Anna Sytsema.

Molly Patton found the back of the net on an unassisted effort early in the second half, and senior Brianna Garceau enforced the mercy rule with the Warriors’ eighth goal.

Lauren Myers had two assists for the Warriors, while Morgan Kinnucan, Jessica Kinnucan and Miki Erickson had one apiece.
