White Sox 5, Tigers 3 – Starting pitcher Chris Sale picked up his Major League leading 11th win for the Chicago White Sox in Wednesday’s victory over the Tigers.

The Tigers, who beat Chicago 11-8 on Monday, were led in a losing effort by Jose Iglesias with a two-run homer while Nick Castellanos added an RBI. Ian Kinsler and James McCann each chipped in with a double.

The White Sox were led offensively by Adam Eaton and Melky Cabrera with an RBI double each.

Chicago jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning before the Tigers responded with three in the third to take a two-run lead.

The White Sox scored four unanswered runs to close out the game, with runs in the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth frame.

The Tigers are now 33-32 on the season, good for third place in the American League Central Division behind both the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals.

Detroit will open a four-game set on the road against the Royals starting on Thursday night.
