Tigers 10, White Sox 3 – Jordan Zimmermann returned from his injury for the Tigers by beating the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.

LSJ Logo incertZimmermann tossed 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out three batters.

The White Sox took a 1-0 lead in the second inning before Detroit responded with two runs in the bottom half to take a one-run lead.

The Tigers scored six of the game’s final seven runs with two in the seventh and four in the eighth.

Detroit was led by Victor Martinez and James McCann with three hits each, including a home run, and two RBIs apiece.Eye on the D

Ian Kinsler added two RBIs for the Tigers while J.D. Martinez, Miguel Cabrera and Andrew Romine each chipped in with an RBI.

The White Sox were led by Jose Abreu with a double and an RBI while former Tiger Avisail Garcia added an RBI.

The Tigers are now 26-28 on the season, good for fourth place in the American League Central Division behind the Kansas City Royals.

Detroit will look to continue its winning on Saturday afternoon against the White Sox.
