Four local teams took part in the girls tennis state finals this weekend and North Muskegon held the top finish.lsj-fb-logo

The Norse finished seventh in Div. 4 and had three doubles teams reach the semifinals. Mary Hoopes/Molly Huisingh (No. 1 Doubles), Madeline Huisingh/Luaren Bliss (No. 3 Doubles), and Hayden Dobb/Hannah Knight (No. 4 Doubles) all finished as semifinalists.

Tess Wilson and Lindsay Bliss  reached the quarterfinals in No. 2 doubles and Lauren Golden was the lone singles quarterfinalist at No. 4 for North Muskegon.

In Division 3, Whitehall finished tenth followed by Fruitport (13) and Ludington (21).

Whitehall had two singles quarterfinalists and one doubles team finish in the quarterfinals. Vanessa Heylmun (No. 2 singles), Taylor Mekkelson (No. 4 singles), and the team of Elle Bachelder/Gabrielle Hepler (No. 4 doubles) all placed for the Vikings.

Fruitport had two quarterfinalists with Trinity Busscher in No. 4 singles and Emily Dirske/Olivia Parling in No. 4 doubles.
