The Oakridge High School football stadium was lit up Friday night for the Fifth Annual WV Foundation Muskegon All-Star Classic football game. Over $10,000 in college scholarships were given out to selected area athletes at the event.
Both teams came out and battled four full quarters but the Legends came out on top 28-21 over the Dynasty.
Leading the way for the Legends were Muskegon Catholic quarterback Christian Martinez and Hudsonville Unity Christian running back David Bos.
Bos twice rushed into the end zone in the first half for the Legends. Martinez struck in the second half with a pair of touchdown passes, to Coopersville’s Logan Pants and Comstock Park’s Nick Turowski.
The Dynasty did not go down easy. Montague graduate and quarterback Jacob Buschberger scored a first-half touchdown on a run and also found Hudnsonville Unity Christian’s Christian Bos on a TD pass before the break.
Muskegon Big Red Terrion Hill-Mackay sealed the win for the Legends with an interception in the fourth quarter.
