Tigers 12, Indians 2– The Tigers picked up their first win in 12 games against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday afternoon.

Today, Nick Castellanos paced the Tigers with a double, homer and five RBIs while Miguel Cabrera and Steven Moya each chipped in with two RBIs. Cameron Maybin added a two-run home run.

Cleveland led 2-0 after three innings before the Tigers scored 12 unanswered runs.

Detroit scored three runs in the fourth, five in the fifth and four in the seventh frame.

The Indians were led by Francisco Lindor with a double and an RBI while Lonnie Chisenhall had an RBI.

Detroit is now 45-40 on the season, good for second place in the American League Central Division behind the first-place Cleveland Indians.

The Tigers are currently one-game behind the Boston Red Sox for the last wild card playoff spot.

Detroit will open a four-game set on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays starting Thursday night before the All-Star break.
