Angels 3, Tigers 2 – J.D and Victor Martinez were each ejected during the third inning in Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Angels, which snapped Detroit’s winning streak at five games.

Detroit opened the scoring in the first inning on a leadoff homer by Ian Kinsler.

The Angels responded with three runs in the third inning on a two-run home run from Kaleb Cowart and an RBI single by C.J. Cron to take a 3-1 advantage.

The Tigers cut their deficit to 3-2 in the eighth inning on an RBI groundout by Andrew Romine.

The Tigers are now 69-60 on the season, good for second place in the American League Central Division behind the Cleveland Indians. They are one game back of the Baltimore Orioles for the final playoff spot.
