The Muskegon Community College men’s soccer team improved to 2-0-1 on the season with a pair of shutouts on the road over the weekend. The Jayhawks topped Lakeland Community College 2-0 on Saturday and Cuyahoga Community College 3-0 on Sunday. LSJ Logo incert

On Saturday, MCC nabbed its first win of the season. Miguel  Flores led the way with a goal and an assist. Noah Hendricks added the other tally for the Jayhawks while Matt Kowalski, Franklin Rodriguez and Jube Rodriguez each had assists.

Hayden Collins grabbed the shutout in goal with a pair of saves.

On Sunday, Franklin Rodriguez, Jube Rodriguez and Jake Rajewski each scored for MCC. Gathering assists were Eddie Mireles, Kane Wilkinson and Miguel Flores.

Goalkeeper Ben Fales posted the shutout with four saves.

MCC opens its home schedule at 4 p.m. on Wednesday against Jackson Community College at Mona Shores High School.
