The Mona Shores volleyball squad lost in the quarterfinals to Spring Lake at the Reeths-Puffer Invitational on Saturday.
The Sailors qualified to compete in the quarters by finishing 2-1 in their pool play matches, beating Fremont and Mason County Central before losing to Montague in a close three set match.
Grace Hellman led Mona Shores with 24 kills while Haley Gartland chipped in with seven digs and six aces. Ryleigh Wehler added 22 kills and seven aces for the Sailors.
