The Spring Lake volleyball team started its season by winning two of its five matches over the weekend at the Reeths-Puffer Invitational.
The Lakers defeated North Muskegon and Mona Shores, and fell to Reeths-Puffer and Whitehall twice.
Olivia Grimmer paced Spring Lake with 25 kills, 46 digs and 13 aces while Isabel Donnelly and Lauren Hellman each had 21.
Donnelly and Hellman also led defensively with 14 and seven blocks, respectively, for the Lakers.
Spring Lake’s Caitie Estep added 73 assists while Carly Bench chipped in with 31 digs.
