The Hesperia volleyball squad closed out Saturday’s invitation at Muskegon Catholic Central in third place.

LSJ Logo incertThe Panthers finished 3-0 in pool play, cruising past Manistee Catholic, Muskegon Catholic and Holland Black River.

Hesperia then lost in the semifinals to Chippewa Hills in three sets before defeating Northern Michigan Christian in a consolation round for the third-place trophy.

The Panthers, who improved their record to 10-7 on the season, were paced Delaney Hussey with 29 kills and five blocks.

Masen Majersky added 12 aces 13 digs for Hesperia while Ceara Thomas chipped in with nine aces, 68 assists and 18 digs.
