The Reeths-Puffer soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals and captured a 2-0 victory over rival Mona Shores in an O-K Black Conference
matchup on Thursday.
Parker Aerts and Brendan Sherwood each found the net in the first half for the Rockets, providing all the offense their team would need.
Reeths-Puffer won despite being outshot by the Sailors 8-5 in the contest.
Rocket goalkeeper Jake Lofgren was stellar in net. He stopped a Mona Shores penalty kick late in the game to preserve the shutout, which was his fourth of the season.
Reeths-Puffer improved to 4-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.
