Courtney Burnside scored in the first half, after a corner kick from teammate Yojiara Compos, to give the Jayhawks a 1-0 lead.

Jackson tied the game 10 minutes into the second half, then MCC took the lead again with a goal by Brianna Wade, with assists from Campos and Natalie Garza. Jackson tied the score 2-2 a minute later.

Jackson sealed the come-from-behind victory with a goal on a penalty kick with seven minutes remaining.
