The Muskegon Heights football team suffered a tough loss against Manistee 14-12 on Friday in a Lakes 8 contest.

JaJuante Trotter was the main source of offense for Muskegon Heights, rushing for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

Trotter opened the game’s scoring with an eight-yard score in the second quarter and then helped the Tigers recapture the lead with a five-yard touchdown run early in the fourth.

Jevontae Kendricks had 93 yards on the ground to go with a team-high 49 receiving yards for the Tigers.
