The Whitehall football team jumped out to a huge lead and cruised past Hart 52-14 in a West Michigan Conference game on Friday night.

Whitehall led 23-6 after the first quarter and 52-6 at halftime before the Pirates scored the final eight points during the third quarter.

Whitehall quarterback Casey Huizenga rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 98 yards and a touchdown on three completions.

JoJo Dowdell led the Vikings with 161 rushing yards and three touchdowns while Tylor Russell added 63 yards on the ground and two scores.

Viking receiver Justin Brown caught two passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Whitehall’s defense was led by Josh Thommen with six tackles while Jack MacArthur, Brown and Derek McCollum each had an interception.
