The Eagles, which are ranked No. 5 in the Class C state rankings, defeated the Mohawks in four sets, 25-18, 25-15, 22-25 and 25-13.

Kassidy Heeringa spread the wealth among the Eagles’ cast of talented hitters while splitting the setting duties with 16 assists, and also slammed down a few kills as well with 14 total.

Fellow setter Blaire Mortensen led Kent CIty with 17 assists.

Kelsey Krueger added nine kills and a team-high 28 digs, while Kaitlyn Geers totaled nine kills and 1.5 blocks.

Kent City’s record now stands at 35-5-1 overall and 9-0 in the CSAA.
