The Western Michigan Christian soccer team defeated Leland, a traditional state soccer power, 3-1 on Friday night.
The Warriors improved to 14-2-1 on the season.
Dylan Mines opened the scoring for WMC at the 29-minute mark, with an assist from Liam Rudd.
Leland tied the score 1-1, but the Warriors jumped back in the lead about 18 minutes into the second half on a header goal by Kadin Riksen, with an assist from Mines.
WMC’s Evan Fles finished off the scoring late in the game, heading a corner kick from Tommy Tencate into the back of the net.
