Celtics 94, Pistons 92 – Al Horford’s game-winning put back shot with 1.3 seconds left in regulation propelled the Boston Celtics to a win over the Pistons on Saturday night.

LSJ Logo incertThe Pistons, who were thumped by the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers 104-81 last night, are now on a three game losing streak.

Detroit trailed 30-23 after the first quarter, 50-47 at halftime and then took a 73-71 advantage heading into the fourth quarter before getting outscored by a 23-19 margin in the final stanza.

Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 24 points and eight assists while Horford chipped in with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Pistons, who is now 6-8 on the season and 5-1 at home, were led by Marcus Morris with 24 points.Eye on the D

Andre Drummond added 20 points and 17 rebounds for Detroit and Tobias Harris contributed with 19 points.

Detroit will remain home to face the Houston Rockets on Monday night looking to snap its losing skid.
