Team Network jumped out to a 34-21 lead after one quarter and led 56-50 at halftime. But the Lake Hawks pulled ahead with a 27-19 advantage in the third quarter and managed to grab the victory.

“Team Network came out scoring three-pointer after three-pointer,” said Lake Hawks Coach Ron Jenkins. “We did not do a good job defending the three-point line and had to make adjustments in the second quarter. As a game continued to progress I believe we began to wear them down.

“At the beginning of the second quarter we discussed toughening up on defense, having heart and being dedicated to contesting the shot. I thought we did well, especially our reserves, coming in putting pressure on the ball.”

Marquis Brewer paced the Lake Hawks with 35 points and six assists. Xavier Fletcher added 23 points and Christian Hale chipped in 16.

Deontae Hudson and Rowmell Crawford each registered double-doubles with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
