The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team lost to Mott Community College 94-62 on Friday.
The Jayhawks fell beyond by 16 points at halftime and were not able to recover.
“I thought we let our poor shooting affect us on the defense end and in our shot selection and our frustration showed,” said MCC Dave Schlump.
MCC was led by Daryl Kirkland with 19 points while Sergio Diaz added 14 points.
MCC plays again this week with back-to-back home games. The Jayhawks play Hope JV at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and St. Clair Community College on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
