Lightning 4, Red Wings 1 – The Tampa Bay Lightning won their third straight game over the Red Wings this season on Tuesday night.

The Lightning led 1-0 after the first period and had a 4-0 advantage heading into the third stanza.

Detroit scored its lone goal during the third period with 12 seconds left on a goal from Anthony Mantha. Nick Jenson, playing in his first career NHL game, and Henrik Zetterberg each assisted on the goal.

Jonathan Drouin and Brayden Point each had a goal and an assist to lead Tampa Bay, while Tyler Johnson and Alex Killorn each chipped in with two assists.

Red Wings’ goaltender Jimmy Howard left the game with an apparent injury, Petr Mrazek came in relief and allowed three of the four Lightning goals.

Detroit, which is now 14-15-4 on the season, will continue its road trip on Friday night against the Florida Panthers.
