Kings 4, Red Wings 1 – Tyler Toffoli’s two goals and one assists helped propel the Los Angeles Kings over the Red Wings on Thursday night.

The Red Wings, who are now winless in four straight games, are below the .500 mark with a 13-14-4 record, which is good for 30 points and a fifth place tie in the Atlantic Division.

Dustin Brown chipped in with two assists, while Derek Forbort and Nic Dowd each added a goal.

Kings’ goaltender Jeff Zatkoff stopped 17 of 18 Detroit shots while Red Wings’ goal keeper Jimmy Howard managed 27 saves on 30 shots.

Mike Green scored the lone goal for the Red Wings, which was assisted by Luke Glendening.

Detroit will finish its home stand on Saturday night against the Anaheim Ducks.
