Red Wings 3, Senators 2 (OT) – Anthony Mantha’s game-winning goal 1:07 into overtime propelled the Red Wings to victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.

Thomas Vanek (4:37 into the first) and Tomas Tatar (9:18 into the second) each scored a goal for the Red Wings.

Detroit’s goaltender Jared Coreau picked up the win in net, stopping 26 of 28 shots.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first period and 2-2 after the second period before Detroit won the game in overtime.

Ottawa’s Derick Brassard and Mark Stone each scored a goal for the Senators.

The Red Wings are now 16-16-4 on the season, good for 36 points and seven place in the Atlantic Division.

Detroit will play outdoors on Sunday afternoon against the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to continue its winning streak.
