The Mona Shores girls basketball squad fell to the defending Class C state champion Ypsilanti Arbor Prep 57-39 on Saturday at the Icebreaker Challenge Invitational.
The Sailors fell behind 16-6 after the first quarter, trailed 24-23 and had a 37-34 disadvantage heading into the fourth quarter.
The Gators finished the game strong, going on a 20-5 fourth quarter run to close out the victory.
Jordan Walker led Mona Shores with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Alyza Winston added 10 points and Ryleigh Wehler chipped in with seven points.
The Sailors will face Grand Haven on Friday night on the road.
