The dynamic backcourt of Alyza Winston and Jordan Walker will help the Mona Shores girls basketball squad win many games this season.

Walker and Winston helped the Sailors defeat Grand Haven 58-47 on Friday night in a non-conference road game.

Mona Shores outscored Grand Haven 21-11 in the third quarter which allowed the Sailors to extend their five-point halftime lead.

Walker paced the Sailors (2-1) with 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Winston chipped in 18 points of her own.

Esther Byington led the Bucs with 13 points while teammate Kelly Olthof added 11 points.
