The Whitehall wrestling team, which has been one of the best in the area for years, opened up its season on a victorious 
note.
The Vikings defeated Grand Haven 41-22 in a non-conference dual match, with eight different wrestlers posting victories.
Winning their matches on the night for the Vikings were Josh Thommen, Derek McCollom, Kayleb Venema, Jojo Dowdell, Hunter Bower, Sam Baustert, Tom Blaskovicz and Trenton Blanchard.
