The Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team notched its first win of the season on Tuesday night.

The Eagles defeated Grand Rapids Wellspring Prep 53-48 in an Alliance League contest.

Jacob McFarren paced Fruitport Calvary with 20 points and six rebounds while Alec Cammenga added 15 points. Zach Zehr chipped in with 11 points, five steals and seven assists for the Eagles and Luke Anhalt contributed with a team-high nine rebounds.

The game was tied 15-15 after the first quarter, the Eagles took a 28-22 lead at halftime and then led 38-36 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Eagles outscored Wellspring by a 15-12 margin during the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
