The Hesperia girls basketball team used a huge first half to defeat Ravenna 46-28 in non-league action on Tuesday.

Hesperia took a 34-8 lead into halftime and cruised to victory in the second half.

Alyssa Miller and Ally Bayle both recorded double-doubles for Hesperia. Miller put up 10 points and 12 rebounds while Bayle had 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Ami Tateyama had a team-high 16 points for the Panthers.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 62, NORTH MUSKEGON 44 – A big third quarter propelled the Warriors to a win Thursday night. WMC (3-3) outscored the Norse(0-5) 15-5 in the third to extend their lead to 13 points. Katelyn Wright scored 23 points, including a school-record six three-pointers, to lead WMC. Aubrey Goorman added 15 and Haylee Moser scored nine. Mya Duncan had 24 points to lead North Muskegon.

HART 38, WHITE CLOUD 34 – Hart held a 30-29 lead at the end of the third quarter, then held White Cloud to just five points in the fourth quarter to hold on for the win in a non-conference matchup. Yasmine Colon led Hart (3-7) with 15 points while Aubrey Hertzler, Tressa Swihart and Nichole Rockwell each chipped in six points.

GODWIN HEIGHTS 58, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 31 – MCC fell behind 18-8 after one quarter and 33-14 at halftime and never recovered. Hannah Ladd paced the Crusaders with eight points. Lauren Doriot grabbed 10 rebounds while Talia Tyler had four assists.
