Kent City’s varsity girls basketball team continued its outstanding season on Tuesday with a non-conference victory over Sparta, 56-41.
The Eagles improve to 11-3 overall.
Kent City had a 25-18 lead at the half, then gained some needed breathing room by outscoring Sparta 14-8 in the third quarter.
Center Kaitlyn Geers led the Eagles with 21 points. She was joined in double-figures scoring by Paige Mortensen with 14 and Teanna McCuaig with 11.
Sparta connected on more three-point baskets (8) than two-point shots (7). Delaney Armock made four triples and finished with 19 points.
