The Kent City girls basketball team failed to manage a comeback win, falling to Grand Rapids Christian 34-32 on Saturday in a non-league contest.

The Eagles, who are now 10-3 on the season and 6-0 in league play, trailed 19-14 after the first quarter, 24-18 at halftime and 28-22 heading into the fourth quarter.

Kent City managed to tie the game twice during the final two minutes of regulation.

Paige Mortensen led the Eagles with 14 points while Kaitlyn Geers added seven.
