The red-hot Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team shot the lights out on Wednesday in an impressive 107-84 victory over visiting Lake Michigan Community College.

The Jayhawks have now won four games in a row. They are 12-4 on the season and 6-1 in conference play.

MCC dominated Lake Michigan by shooting 51 percent from beyond the arc and sinking a season-high 16 triples.

Kyle Ervin Jr. led the scoring parade for MCC with 35 points – including five 3-pointers – and snagged 11 rebounds.

Mike Williams recorded his second straight double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, Daryl Kirkland had 18 points, Ricarri Stimage chipped in 13 while Blake Andrews came off the bench and scored 11.

“Tonight was one of those nights for us,” said a happy MCC Coach Dave Schlump. “The biggest thing I am proud of tonight is the balanced scoring and how well we shared ball, with 21 assists compared to only 9 turnovers.”

The Jayhawks will visit Jackson Community College on Friday night.
