North Muskegon’s varsity girls basketball team jumped out to a 27-12 halftime lead against Ravenna Thursday evening and cruised to a comfortable 42-22 victory in the West Michigan Conference.

It was North Muskegon’s first victory of the season, improving the Norse’s record to 1-5 overall. Ravenna remained winless at 0-5.

Mya Duncan had a strong showing for the Norse with a game-high 16 points, along with five steals and five rebounds. Mikayla Greiner added six points and six rebounds, while Gwenna Pitts and Abby Grevel scored six points apiece.

Grace Mayeaux led the Bulldogs with eight points.
