The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team overcame a shaky start to beat Fruitport 56-31 in an O-K Black Conference contest on Friday.

Reeths-Puffer (2-9, 1-3) trailed 11-8 after the first quarter, but outscored the Trojans 48-20 the rest of the way.

Nate White led the Rockets with 14 points while Emcee Williams scored 11 points and DD Ware added eight points and five steals.

GRAND RAPIDS UNION 65, MONA SHORES 48 – The Sailors (3-7, 2-3) led 41-37 heading into the fourth quarter before getting outscored by a 27-7 margin during the final frame. Mona Shores’ Jarvis Walker led all scorers with 19 points while KP Piggue added nine for the Sailors.

O-K BLUE

SPRING LAKE 45, WEST CATHOLIC 37 – The Lakers established themselves early on with a 20-8 first quarter lead which they wouldn’t give up. They improved to 10-3 on the season and 4-2 in the O-K Blue Conference. Sam Johnson paced Spring Lake with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Cameron Ball’s 10 assists helped get other players involved.

O-K RED

GRAND HAVEN 52, GRANDVILLE 46 – Zac Holman’s 16 points led the Bucs to a victory on Friday night in O-K Red Conference action. Grand Haven (10-3, 4-2) took a 23-19 lead into the halftime break and led 36-33 at the end of the third quarter. Casey Constant chipped in with 13 points for the Bucs.
