The Montague girls basketball team picked up a West Michigan Conference win on Monday, defeating Mason County Central by a 58-44 margin.

The Wildcats trailed 10-9 after the first quarter, then outscored Mason County by a 21-11 margin in the second quarter to take a 30-21 halftime lead. Montague increased its lead to 45-35 heading into the fourth quarter before closing out the game with a 13-9 fourth quarter run.

Claudia Rumsey paced the Wildcats with 20 points and six rebounds while Sydney Stine added 12 points and five assists. Grace Meacham posted 12 points and six rebounds for Montague and McKenna Lohman grabbed 10 rebounds.
