The Grant girls basketball team overcame an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to post a 52-47 overtime victory over Central Montcalm in CSAA conference action on Friday night.

Grant’s Ashley Herin hit a triple with 26 seconds left in regulation to force the extra session.

Kylie Patton led the Tigers’ balanced attack with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Laura Bouwkamp added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

HOLTON 63, HESPERIA 39 – Shelbey Younts paced Holton (10-5, 4-3) with 16 points. Teammate Courtney Slater chipped in 10 points. Hesperia was led by Allison Bayle with 15 points and Ami Tateyama with 12 points.

KENT CITY 43, WHITE CLOUD 30 – Kent City used a stingy defensive effort that allowed only nine first-half points. Kaitlyn Geers led Kent City (12-3, 7-0) with 14 points while Teanna McCuaig added 12 points.

REED CITY 33, FREMONT 28 – The Packers got into foul trouble in the fourth quarter and came out on the short end of a CSAA battle. Anna Patenge led Fremont with her first career double-double – 11 points and 12 rebounds. Bre Harris totaled eight points, 10 steals and eight rebounds. The Packers fell to 9-5 overall and 5-3 in CSAA play.
