The Oakridge girls basketball team extended its West Michigan Conference winning streak to an incredible 62 games with a 49-42 victory over Mason County Central on Tuesday.

Oakridge led 14-9 after the first quarter, 29-16 at halftime and had a 43-26 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Sophia Wiard paced the Eagles with 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and five steals while Hannah Reinhold added 11 points and five rebounds. Gracie Reinhold chipped in with six points and 10 rebounds.

SHELBY 64, HART 38 – Shelby rolled to a 41-17 halftime lead and never looked back in the West Michigan Conference game. Hart was paced by Yasmine Colon with 10 points. Hart fell to 1-9 in conference play and 4-11 overall with the loss.

CSAA

GRANT 44, MORLEY-STANWOOD 33 – Grant grinded out a tough win in a defensive battle. The Tigers were led by Ashley Herin with 11 points and Laura Bouwkamp with 10. Grant improved to 5-10 overall on the season.

NON-LEAGUE

TRI UNITY 45, ORCHARD VIEW 33 – After a tightly contested first quarter, the Cardinals found themselves trailing 26-17 at the half and could not manage a comeback. Janaya Ferrell led Orchard View (0-13, 0-6) with 11 points.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 55, ZION CHRISTIAN 23 – A 27-4 first quarter advantage propelled the Crusaders (7-9, 2-5) to a non-conference win on Tuesday night. Talia Tyler recorded 15 points, five assists and six steals for MCC while Faith Anderson and Emily Rauch each scored eight points.

COVENANT CHRISTIAN 71, WEST MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 51 – Aubrey Goorman had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors in Tuesday night’s non-conference loss. WMC (8-8, 3-3) fell behind early and went into halftime trailing 36-20. Katelyn Wright added 10 points for the Warriors.
