Muskegon Catholic Central’s Cam Martinez scored 10 of his game-high 16 points in the second quarter, helping the Crusaders outscore Pentwater 18-5 and eventually prevail with a 71-32 victory.

With the victory, MCC improves to 7-5 overall this season.

The Crusaders and Martinez jumped out to a 38-15 lead at the half, and continued the blowout in the third, as Nick Morgenstern scored nine of his 15 points.

Also scoring in double figures for MCC was LaTommy Scott with 11 points.

Martinez added eight rebounds, five assists and five steals, while Morgenstern grabbed six rebounds.

MCC faces a tough challenge on Friday, as it battles at Lakes Eight Conference foe Muskegon Heights.
