The Spring Lake boys basketball team fell just short of a comeback against Grand Rapids Catholic Central, losing 56-52 on Tuesday night in an O-K Blue Conference game.

The Lakers trailed 13-8 after the first quarter, 22-17 at halftime and 38-31 after three quarters. Spring Lake outscored the Cougars by a 21-18 margin during the final stanza.

Griffin Lorimer paced the Lakers with 14 points while Sam Johnson added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Jack Van Wingen chipped in with nine points and 11 boards for Spring Lake.
