The Hart girls basketball team battled back from a five-point halftime deficit and defeated Mason County Eastern 51-43 in a non-league game on Tuesday.
The Pirates trailed 21-16 at the break before dominating the second half 35-22.
Yasmine Colon led the charge with 18 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Xasha Gonzalez scored eight points for Hart while Nicole Rockwell had six points to go with nine boards.
GRAND HAVEN 41, ROCKFORD 35 – Alli Keyser scored 15 points and dished out four assists to lead the Bucs to a win. Grand Haven is now 13-6 overall and 7-4 in league play. Autumn Buikema added eight points for the Bucs.
LUDINGTON 50, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 23 – Ludington (15-4, 8-0) pulled away with a 19-0 advantage in the second quarter. Jenna Keson had a team-high 12 points, while Bethany Shay scored 11 and grabbed nine rebounds for the Orioles. Courtney Edwards contributed eight points and five steals.
PENTWATER 49, HESPERIA 38 – Hesperia only trailed by two points at halftime, but Pentwater gained an advantage with an 11-4 edge in the third quarter. Allison Bayle paced Hesperia (2-17) with 13 points, six rebounds and five steals. Ami Tateyama added 12 points while Alyssa Miller pulled down 10 rebounds.
