The Oakridge girls basketball team clinched its sixth straight West Michigan Conference title on Friday night.

The Eagles, who are currently on a 63-game winning streak in league contests, cruised past Ravenna by a 61-12 margin.

Oakridge jumped out to a 19-2 lead after the first quarter, led 42-10 at halftime and had a 54-10 advantage heading into the final stanza.

The Eagles (14-2, 13-0) were paced by Hannah Reinhold with 20 points while Sophia Wiard added 17 points and four assists.

Aaliyah Cooper chipped in with 12 points for Oakridge and Kennidie Streed contributed with eight points.

The Bulldogs were led by Jessica McWatters with seven points.

 

WHITEHALL 54, HART 36 – The Vikings remained hot, picking up their seventh win in the last eight games on Friday night. Whitehall (10-7, 7-5) led 15-9 after one quarter, 31-7 at the half and 35-25 after three. Julie Brown had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for the Vikings while Kacy Jeffries added 16 points. The Pirates (4-12, 1-10) were led by Yasmine Colon with eight points and nine rebounds while Haley Alvesteffer and Xasha Gonzales each scored six.

MONTAGUE 61, NORTH MUSKEGON 41 – The Wildcats (8-8, 7-4) dominated the first quarter, outscoring North Muskegon by a 17-2 margin. Sydney Stine scored 17 points and dished five assists to lead Montague while Grace Meachem and Allyssa Bobian each grabbed 10 rebounds. Mya Duncan totaled 19 points and five steals to lead the Norse. 

SHELBY 73, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 46 – Shelby handled the Spartans with ease to improve to 13-4 overall and 10-2 in the West Michigan Conference. Jenny Beckman paced the Tigers with 20 points, while Jaren Smith and Brooke James contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively. Tori Mussell added 11 rebounds for Shelby in a winning effort.
