The Fremont boys basketball team ended its season on Monday night, falling at home to Grant 63-44 in a Class B district quarterfinal game.

The Tigers jumped out to a 17-2 lead after the first quarter and led 28-2 during the second quarter.

Fremont, which had a 13-8 record during the season, managed to storm back to cut its deficit to 14 points with two minutes remaining in the first half.

The Packers, were led by Bailey Baddis and Ryan Geeting with nine points apiece.

Grant will face Sparta on Wednesday in the Class C district semifinals at Fremont. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
