Ben Zelenka’s game-winning layup and two free throws propelled Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team to a 54-51 win over Walker West Michigan Academy in a Class D district game on Monday night.

The Eagles overcame a 17-point first half deficit and trailed 35-23 at halftime.

Fruitport Calvary Christian headed into the final stanza with a 45-40 deficit, then closed the contest with a 14-6 fourth tear to seal the victory.

Alec Cammenga paced the Eagles with 23 points, six rebounds and four steals while Jacon McFarren added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Zach Zehr contributed with eight points and six steals for Fruitport Calvary Christian and Luke Anhalt chipped in with nine points.

The Eagles will face Ellington Academy on Wednesday night in the Class D district semifinals at Muskegon Catholic Central High School.
