The Mona Shores baseball team scored a pair of runs in the ninth inning to grab a 5-3 come-from-behind victory over Oakridge on Tuesday in non-league action.

Oakridge led 3-0 after five innings, then the Sailors scored three times in the sixth to tie the game. The seventh inning was scoreless, sending the game into extra innings.

Mona Shores’ Caden Broersma led off the ninth inning with a double and scored on a throwing error. Matt Martin was safe at first on a throwing error, moved to second on a passed ball, stole third, then scored on an Austin Flowers double to left field.

Connor Belanger pitched eight innings for the Sailors and picked up the victory.

Koleman Wall tossed five scoreless innings for Oakridge, and also had a double and scored a run. Brady Luttrull had two hits while Jaxon Fri hit a two-run single.
